Splice.com has done for audio what Jumpcut did for video - let you mix tracks in a web browser...for free!
Seriously, this is like running Acid or Live on a web server - tempo changing without pitch-shift. Sound library management. Record audio in! OK, it's missing a lot of features of a DAW, but, um, it's free, and in a web browser. That's nuts.
