Obama's detention plan is awful

He is fucking up to even be discussing this as a possibility.

Greenwald's questions are crucial - (1) have adequate reasons been given for why accused terrorists cannot be tried in civilian courts, and (2) on what basis do you believe the accused are dangerous if they haven't even been charged, let alone tried?

Rachel Maddow's take is also remarkably direct -

Robot Spore Chicken

If this works, it could be a rather important bridge between TV and games.  The adventure design engine is going to become the middleware (engine) for a branded TV property.  Is Little Big Planet doing anything like this?

Stupeflix API dramatically shortens the time it takes to edit and render video

Am I off, or could this be a big deal?

They generated all of these videos in an hour using Wikipedia source data. Granted, this is heavy on the Ken Burns effect, but still.

Demo of the API here:

They host the videos long enough for you to download them, and are claiming real-time rendering for DVD quality, about 2X for youtube quality.  And no limit on video length.
Scalability will be interesting to see.
